Four recent CE/CS Rutgers graduates will be discussing their career
experiences at the Rutgers Emerging Scholars in Computer Science
(RESCS) Career Night on March 31, 2008:
- Rajshekhar Agarwal
graduated from Rutgers School of Engineering, Class of 2007, with a major
in Computer Engineering. Since January 2007, he has been
working as a Staff IT consultant with Crowe Chizek.
Crowe Chizek is a
Microsoft Gold Certified Partner; he is working with a technology
from Microsoft called SharePoint 2007. Within his past 1+ years of
working at Crowe, he has done consulting projects with 9 companies,
including one that was a Fortune 50 company.
- Sara Hahn Jacob graduated from Rutgers College in 2006
with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in linguistics. From there,
she accepted a position in the Integration and Test Group for the
Deepwater program at Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, NJ. Her
responsibilities there centered on creating scripts to automate the
building process of the Coast Guard computer systems, and installing
the systems on the Coast Guard National Security Cutter. In February,
she transferred to
Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories
where she is working as a Software Engineer in the Artificial
Intelligence Laboratory.
- Rabiya S. Kader is a Patent Attorney and an associate with
the firm of Lerner, David, Littenberg,
Krumholz & Mentlik. The firm is an Intellectual Property boutique
firm specializing in all areas of IP, including patents, trademarks
and copyrights. Ms. Kader's practice at Lerner David focuses on all
aspects of intellectual property specializing in patent prosecution
and opinions dealing with diverse technologies including medical
devices and mechanical arts. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Kader
obtained industry experience at Johnson & Johnson as a Mechanical
Engineer. She earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers
University, College of Engineering, with a minor in Political Science
and Biology. Ms. Kader earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School
of Law, Newark in 2003. Upon graduation, she was an associate at
the Washington, DC office of Baker & Hostetler. Ms. Kader is a member
of the bars of New Jersey , New York and the District of Columbia. She
is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and
Trademark Office.
- Timothy Rodriguez, Rutgers School of Engineering Class of
2007, majored in Computer Engineering and minored in Music. He has
been working at Goldman
Sachs for the last nine months. He is currently an Analyst in
Voice Technologies developing Operations Tools and performing Systems
Administration.
Schedule
Pizza and drinks will be available at 7:15pm; presentations and Q&A
discussions from 7:30-8:30pm. The panelists will be available for
informal discussions over dessert and coffee from 8:30-9:00pm.
